Gen 41.37-46

1. People who persevere experience failure like everyone else.

Joseph's perseverance helped him, through to being thrown by his brothers in the pit even to Potiphar's house.

2. People who persevere choose not to live in the past.

Philippians 3:13-14 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

3. Persevering people make the decision to keep moving on. {Mt 6.30-34}

The person who perseveres focuses forward.

The only way to persevere is to put the Lord in charge, and keep Him there.

4. Persevering people take one day at a time.

5.Persevering people know that God's strength is available to them.

John 15:5 "Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.

Philippians 4:13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

Don't you ever quit! People who persevere knows that God is near them.
