When God smells honor | Pst Alice Kimani | DCIKZ | The Great Catch
Genesis 6.6-9

Purpose to living a life that brings joy where there may be sadness or light where there is darkness.

Consider the life of Noah;
1. He lived a life of honor during the time when there was wickedness all around him.

Genesis 6:9 This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.
2. God regrets; Genesis 6:6 The LORD regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled.
3. He found favor in the eyes of God. {Gen 6.8}

We are saved by faith, talking of things that are not as if they are, to hear of God and obey His word.

Luke 5:4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch."

A life of obedience is a life of honor.
4. Escape strategy for Noah. {Gen 7.16, 22-24}

Genesis 7:16 The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in.
5. Noah builds an altar. {Gen 8.20-21}

The LORD smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: "Never again will I curse the ground because of humans, even though every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done.

How to activate your altar
1. The fruit of our lips. {Heb 13.15}
2. Honorable gifts {Mal 1.13}
3. Serving with gladness and dedication.
