Key scripture: Luke 5.1-5

Luke 5:4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, "Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch."

They fishermen caught nothing because they depended on their natural experience that they acquired.

You need to go deeper to have a great catch.

In this year, vacate the shallow waters and launch into the deep of spiritual nourishment.

Benefits of launching into deep waters;

1. Great and different catches. {Ezekiel 47.1-11}

2. New challenges.

Your depth will determine your height.

2 Kings 19:30 And the remnant who have escaped of the house of Judah Shall again take root downward, And bear fruit upward.

Key text; Luke 13.10-17

1. Cast your burden unto Jesus.

Her inward condition was revealed from the outside.

Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

2. Be at the right place at the right time.

Isaiah 60:22 At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen."

3. Jesus must see you.

God is attracted by your faith in Him.

1 Peter 3:12 The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers.

Proverbs 15:3 The Lord is watching everywhere, keeping his eye on both the evil and the good.

When God locates you, Heaven's business will be interrupted.

4. There will be a calling out and Jesus will make the declaration.

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

Philippians 1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

Key Scripture: Genesis 8.1-22

A. God remembers Noah and The creation and Makes the waters subside (Genesis8: 1- 5)

B. Noah Sends out the Raven and the dove (Genesis 8:6- 14)

C. Noah built an Altar and sacrifices to the Lord (Genesis 8: 15-22)

About seed harvest life;

To be fruitful and multiply there must be a seed

The seed must be tendered to fruitfulness. In other words there is work to be done

God is your source. Don’t look up to men. They will fail you.

Plant your seed and tell God your expectation. Many planted in the Cathedral and are now home owners.

In Luke 5: 1 -11 Peter sowed into the ministry of Jesus by lending Jesus the Boat. He received a double portion. He caught fish and Jesus elevated him to be a fisher of men and he lived his purpose.

Make your selection from today onwards if you haven’t been doing so.

Expect a harvest. Expect a new miracle each day as you go out. Go out in faith expecting God to show up.

Don’t let anyone talk you out of faith or destruct you – Who do you listen to. What do

you read ? Who do you spend time with?

Hold God to his word. Have you ever given and then it seems your problems are

multiplying?

Believe in Gods’ word despite what you see.

Trials come as a test of our Faith.

1. Tests come to reveal what you have learned.

What exactly do you believe in during the tests and trials?

What is abounding in your heart in times when you are by yourself?

2. Trials reveal your spiritual maturity and bring forth your spiritual growth.

James 1:4 But let patience have [its] perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Suffering has a capacity to help you grow in your faith.

3. Trials reveal what we truly believe in for our hope and strength.

Walking in wisdom looks like;

Watching our desires and motives.

Responding in joy. {Hebrews 12.2-3}

We lean on God and His people.

Treasure- to keep or look after something carefully because of its value or importance.

Urgency is the fuel for desperation.

God delights in finding simple solutions for life's problems.

There is no speculation when Jesus speaks.

Consider the story of the Cananite woman in Matthew 15.21-27, In the face of rejection she stood firmly.

Her faith was tested but her desperation made Jesus recognise her.

Galatians 3.14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

She understood that one cannot have a part of God and not benefit from the whole of Him.

Out of this we learn of three kinds of perspective of faith;

1. Prescriptive faith.

2. Pressing faith.

3. Enduring faith.
