My Sheep, Hear My Voice | Rev. Beatrice Waithaka | DCIKZ

-John 10;27. And my sheep hear my voice, and i know them, and follow me,

-John 10;14-15 I am a good shepherd, i know my own and my own know me, as the father know me and i know the father, and i lay my life down for the sheep. Jesus died for us! We need to be connected our savior. Jesus said it is finished at Calvary. Sheep hear the voice of their shepherd and follow him. Being born again enables us to hear the voice of Jesus Christ because there is a connection. True sheep hear and obey the voice of their shepherd. John 13:35

- by this people will know that you are my disciples because you love one another. People are looking and watching! Be a true discipline. Attending church is good, but not a sign that one is a true disciple or saved? The question is, do you obey the voice of the savior? John 10

-But you do not listen because you do not listen to my voice. We do not get to heaven by doing the will of the father but that of FATHERSON. Even so, having words without faith, is meaningless. James 2:17-18- if faith is not accompanied by action it is dead.

-Expectations and Faith A wordless faith is the product of an exceptionalness life and an expectation-less life is merely an existence. Expectations produces some action among us. Benefits of Hearing the Voice Sheep hear His voice

- Make sure you do no hear the echo. The brand of ownership on the ship is obedience. Proverbs 20:12the hearing ear and the seeing eye, the lord had made them both. Isaiah 30:21-Whether we turn to the right or left, you will always hear the voice saying this is the way, follow it. We must therefore know his voice. Proverbs 9:17

- Stolen waters is sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant! Matt 8:28

- come to me all of you that are heavy laden,...for my yolk is light. John 16;33

-I have taught you these things that you may have peace, and that you may take heart when you are troubled. 2. I know Them Jesus know us when we are true sheep. Jesus knows us when we are troubles 3. And they follow me Follow me and i will make you fishers of men. The shepherd calls and the sheep respond. When He calls, we must learn to identify his voice 4. And i will give them eternal life They will never perish and no one will snatch them off. He shall save them from danger. When Jesus called Lazarus, he identified His voice. We might find ourselves in a pigpen, but we are sheep, you must learn to hear the voice of the shepherd calling you back. God give us wisdom, so that we can number our days.

Key Scripture; Joshua 5.11-12

• For 40yrs the children of Israel were waiting on the promise God made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob many years ago. {Gen 13.15-17 , Gen 28.13-14, Gen 50.24}

• Major changes they faced;

1. The manna ceased - and what it meant to them;

It was a gift of God's grace to them. {Ex 16.1-5}

It was used to test their obedience to believing God.

It was small. {Ex 16.14}

It was white, the provision of God.

The manna came at night.

It was misunderstood by those who found it.

It was sufficient for every person's need.

It was sweet to the taste. {Psalm 34.8}

It was to be kept and passed on to others.

• The manna serves to remind us of who Jesus is and what He came to do in our lives.

2. What the manna provided;

It provided grace to keep on living. It sustained those who came to Him by faith.

It was appropriated by stooping.

It was appropriated by swallowing. Working out your salvation and being practical about it.

• He blesses us with His presence, provision, power to withstand what comes our way, and with His promises.

• Jesus Christ in us provides hope to us and the assurance that we will never walk alone.

If manna never ceased the children of Israel would not have enjoyed their Canaan.

There are some habits and things that need to cease in our lives for us to enjoy the promises of God.

✔The sinful woman was a sinner but she got to a place where she was tired and was seeking to rest.

✔The saving grace of God pushed her to a place of rest, her saving destiny. ⭐Do you really know Him?

✔Simon relished the company of Jesus but he really didn't know God.

✔We are like Simon, loving on Jesus with our actions but are we partakers of who He is?

Phil 3.8-10 Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.

For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him.

I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God's way of making us right with himself depends on faith.

1. When your request isn't right, God says 'No'.

✔️How prepared are you for your blessings? Opportunities favor the prepared.

3. When the timing is not right God says "slow".

✔️Habakkuk 2:3 This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled.

If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.

• God is the only one who will grant you victory. • What to consider;

1. The message. {vs 3&4}

✔Watch God's presence. We learn to be sensitive to the movement of God in and around us.

✔Follow God. When they saw the ark of the covenant leave, they were to move and follow it.

✔Honor God. They were to say 2000 cubits away from the ark. It was to prevent them from easily making a mess.

✔Sanctify and examine yourself to present yourself holy to the Lord.

✔We are called for commitment. 2. The Miracle. {vs 15b}

✔See God in the problem. And He says follow me i have a plan.

✔When your feet touches the water, when you walk towards the Lord will make it happen.

✔The Performance {vs 16/17} 3. The memorial.

✔Remember the things God has done for us that we can share with other people.

✔The memories will push you forward as you remember His goodness in the days of tomorrow.
